Article: The Adult Brain DOES Grow New Neurons

#1

I read an exciting article today about a study that indicates the adult brain does indeed continue to grow new neurons. It has been accepted for many years that this was not the case, but a growing body of evidence indicates otherwise. Check it out if you’d like!

Good thing! Getting older does not have to be so bad. Seems like everything else breaks down and needs a replacement (hips, knees, etc).

Did you read about the mice injected with human brain cells? https://www.upi.com/Science_News/2018/04/16/Miniature-human-brain-implants-survive-grow-inside-mice-for-months/8111523892051/ Made me think of the mice in Hitchhiker’s Guide, the Rats of Nimh, and the Island of Dr. Moreau all together in a bad nightmare. After reading the article, I can say with certainty, I prefer assisting with science by playing on my computer rather than messing with rodents innards.

Not sure if this is disturbing or amazing......

Ya know. I'm going to go with both!
