When in full screen mode the selected area is inconsistent

The new navigation is really a great improvement and works well while normal screen mode.
If in full screen mode the selected edit area is smaller then the view area.
Look like is missing the math to adapt to the larger view area resulting in an excess zoom in.
The higher the monitor resolution the bigger the effect.
While in full screen mode a solution is to make the behaviour consistent with the normal mode or to overlay a square to make visible the true selected area.

A workaround is to select the desired area while in normal screen mode, enter edit mode and then full screen. This way everything is as expected
